Frank Schaeffer dialogues with Martin Bashir on how faith effects politics and its subsequent impact on issues of sex and gender. Regardless of whether you agree with Schaeffer's position, I believe we need to take a hard look at people who equate their politics with religion. I fully support being motivated by faith, God, and country but I get a little concerned when people feel a mandate to implement their view of God on others. What happens if your view of God differs from theirs by 1%? Will they still let you come to the party? Another reason in my opinion why we need voices of reason to ensure the liberties of all.
